BOTSWANA BUTCHERY AUCKLAND seeks a senior duty manager!
 
Botswana Butchery Auckland is part of Good Group Hospitality which is an established and expanding hospitality company with venues located in Auckland and Queenstown.
 
With an emphasis on fun, innovative dining, Botswana Butchery’s diverse menu is all about flavours and has a strong focus on fine-cut meats and locally sourced foods. Celebrating its 12th year in Auckland, the restaurant has become a well-known and well-loved institution boasting of its grand waterfront location and decadent fit-out. 
 
We are a premium fun-dining restaurant looking for an experienced duty manager to join our high-performing team. We are looking for a charismatic, energetic, and friendly person who can manage service and staff, pass on your knowledge, and have fun while they are doing it!   
 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

REQUIREMENTS

This is a challenging and rewarding role and an exciting opportunity to become part of a leading hospitality group as it ramps up in New Zealand and to be an integral part of one of the most talked about restaurants in town. 
 
Ideally, LCQ and manager certification is a plus.

In this role, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager and Head Chef to ensure the integration of an engaging experience for our patrons. You will have previous experience in a similar high-end restaurant environment, be knowledgeable about your craft and be passionate about delivering something truly memorable.    
 
Role Specification: 

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior role in the hospitality industry for 2+ years of supervisory experience in a bar and food service environment.
  • Proven experience in staff leadership and staff development
  • Experience in POS systems
  • Sound working knowledge of HR practices.
  • Basic business math and accounting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Good oral and written skills and confident communicator.
  • Strong analytical/decision-making skills.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Understanding of the 24/7 nature of the hospitality operations environment.
